Whilst you are here at Pixeycombe.....

This is an area full of interest. For walkers, Dartmoor is on our doorstep.
Pack a map and find the many archeological sites in the area. Roundheads and Cavaliers fill our local history books. We have two
very knowledgeable local walking guides who know all about the area and it's legends. They offer 2 hour or half day walks.

Explore Dartmoor from the saddle. We offer livery here at Pixeycombe, and guests are welcome to say hello to our own horses.

There is golf at nearby Yelverton. Why not visit the Paperweight Centre. Buses run from Yelverton down to Plymouth over Roborough Downs to an easy Park and Ride system, so that you can explore all that the city has to offer. Apart from the shopping area with it's traditional market, the city has 2 theatres and wonderful Plymouth Hoe that sits above The Barbican, the historic port and the original Mayflower steps. Boat tours around Plymouth Sound and the naval dockyard are both worth adding to your list.

In the evenings.....

We recommend several of the local pubs, the best of which The Royal Oak at Meavy is very close, and foodies love it. The Burrator Inn has a full menu for hungry families. And we have 2 very good take-aways not far from here. One Chinese, The Jasmine and one Indian, The Curry House right next door to each other! If you wish to bring a take away home, the dining room is at your disposal.
